The count thins out by ZIP, but gently. ZIP 10011 holds 93 salons; 10022 has 69; 10003 has 66. Even the eighth busiest, 10019, still has 45. That shape means searching from your own address tends to beat browsing ZIP by ZIP, because the salon nearest you is rarely in the busiest one.
